Our History

The Early Years

In 1991, Christ Central Presbyterian Church (CCPC) began as the English Ministry (EM) of the Korean Central Presbyterian Church (KCPC).  The ministry was called KCPC-EM, and it was established to minister the Gospel to second-generation, English-speaking Korean-Americans.

In 2005, KCPC-EM transitioned from being a ministry of KCPC and was established as a mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).  The newly formed church embraced the name Christ Central Presbyterian Church, and it clarified its mission to reach and welcome people from all backgrounds in greater metro DC.

Church Growth

Through God’s grace, CCPC has grown in size and maturity. In June 2016, CCPC was particularized as a congregation of the PCA in the Korean Capital Presbytery.

CCPC maintains a close partnership with KCPC, in order to reach greater metro DC with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
